The Massachusetts Historical Commission is among the recipients of 2023 National Maritime Heritage Grants Program, awarded by the National Park Service (NPS) to State Historic Preservation Offices (SHPO).
Amount of Request
The MHC Maritime Heritage Education Subgrant Program will have a 1:1 matching requirement. Note that any work completed prior to grant award can’t be considered for funding.
Each federal dollar must be matched by one non-federal dollar. Matches can come from cash or in-kind donations of time, goods, or services. You can request from $10,000 to $50,000, for total project costs between $20,000 and $100,000.
