Accessibility Statement

The Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth is committed to facilitating the accessibility and usability of our websites for the greatest number of people possible. Our policy is to make every reasonable effort to ensure that all of our websites are accessible by persons who use assistive technologies such as automated tools, keyboard-only navigation, and screen readers.

Currently, this office is updating our websites to implement the relevant portions of the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA (WCAG 2.1 AA) as its web accessibility standard.

A number of our applications – including our public voter tools – are in conformance with the Section 508 Web Accessibility Standards developed by the United States Access Board (Section 508) and we are continuing these efforts through an ongoing partnership with recognized leaders in accessibility standards, the National Center for Accessible Media (NCAM) at WGBH and the Institute for Human Centered Design (IHCD). They will continue with accessibility audits of our websites and web applications and provide us with support and guidance to facilitate accessibility and conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

Please be aware that these efforts are ongoing. If, at any time, you have specific questions or concerns about the accessibility of any particular webpage, please contact us at so that we may be of assistance. You can help us gauge our success with your feedback.
