Guide Overview
We’re pleased to present the Historic Places for Historic Parties guide. The guide provides information on historically significant locations for wedding receptions, conferences, private banquets, and other special events. We aim to identify, evaluate, and protect historical properties in the Commonwealth. Properties listed in this publication reflect the rich historical heritage of Massachusetts that we seek to preserve. Rental use of these properties keeps our state's heritage flourishing and provides the public with exciting alternatives for function space.
Inclusion Process
We created this guide as a public service, and collected no fees or incentives from included establishments. Our staff used questionnaires and phone inquiries to collect information on new listings and updated profiles.

We recognize the importance of accuracy in each establishment's profile, and strives to keep all information current. If you recognize information as inaccurate or outdated, please notify us. In addition, if you know of an historic property that rents function space, and is not included in this publication, please contact us with the information, and it will be explored for the next edition of Historic Places for Historic Parties.
