If you’re interested in booking a tour, visit the "How Do I Book a Tour?" page or call the Tours office at 617-727-3676.

Over 90,000 visitors walk through the halls of the Commonwealth's capitol building each year. You can pursue an Architectural/Historical Tour or a Legislative Process Tour. We can provide tour information in eight different languages, and assist with any questions on state government or personnel.

Tours of the interior are free and last approximately 40 minutes. All visitors will be screened by security. The entrance to the building is via the General Hooker Entrance which is on Beacon Street at the top of Park Street. Walk past the statue of General Hooker up the stairs and through security. Accessible entrance is located on Bowdoin Street. If you can not come in person you can still take our 360° Virtual Tour or the Guided Video Tour on our website.

Visit the links below to learn more about the in-person tour, view virtual, video, and audio tours, and download instructional materials for teacher or student needs.
