Voter Registration
Voter registration and party enrollment statistics are published after the deadline for registration for each statewide election. In odd-numbered years, when there is no statewide election, statistics are published as of February 1.

Voter Turnout Statistics
Our office maintains statistics relating to voter turnout in statewide elections. Below, you may find voter turnout information at the statewide level, dating back to 1948.
Local elections are administered by local election officials, and turnout information is not reported to the Elections Division. For information about voter turnout in local elections, contact the relevant local election office.

Detailed statistical information on voter turnout by municipality and method of voting is available for elections dating back to 2016. Below, you will find .xlxs files containing this data.
The below data includes information on the number and percentage of ballots cast by mail, early, and on Election Day. Information on rejected absentee and early ballots is also included. For primaries, a breakdown of turnout by party is provided.
Notes: Large-scale voting by mail began with the 2020 State Primary. For prior elections, data is separated by absentee and/or early ballot. For elections since September 2020, data is categorized by the method through which the ballot was provided to the voter. Prior to 2020, early voting was not available for primaries.
Statewide Ballot Measure Statistics
Our office maintains statistical information on statewide ballot measures, dating back to 1919, the year that voters could first petition to place questions on the ballot.
Statewide ballot measure statistics include information on the different types of ballot measures and how frequently they have appeared on ballots since 1919. For each question in each election, you will find the name of the question, the question type, the outcome of the vote, and the vote totals.
