Who is eligible for ACP?
The Address Confidentiality Program (ACP) is a service for survivors of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, or stalking. The ACP also provides protection for those engaged in a legally protected healthcare activity. These terms are defined in M.G.L. c. 9A.
Note: The ACP does not protect from prior disclosures of address.
Who can apply?
- Survivors who:
- Live in Massachusetts.
- Provide evidence that disclosing their new address threatens their safety.
- Have recently relocated or be willing to relocate to a new city/town in Massachusetts.
- Affirm that the abuser does not know the new address.
- Have not made their new address part of any public record.
- Have not filed a mail forwarding record with the United States Postal Service or have updated their new address with the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
- Individuals who are engaged in the provision, facilitation, or promotion of legally-protected healthcare services, which include:
- Gender-affirming health care services.
- Reproductive health care services.
