Suffolk County Coroner

In one of the more surprising phases of his life, Revere acted as the Suffolk County coroner from 1796 to 1801. This document is for a man named Daniel Foley, who was found dead in July of 1797 after falling from a horse into the water. Revere concluded that Foley “came to his death by misfortune,” meaning he believed it was unintentional.
