As part of his duties as Executive Director, he will act as an advocate for the interests of acute-care community hospitals before the legislative and executive branches. Specifically, he will advocate for MCCH's priority legislation: H827, An Act relative to transparent health care data; HB972, An Act to reduce liability of acute hospitals to the Health Safety Net; HB977, An Act relative to the base premium rate discount of selective and tiered network products; HB1007, An Act expanding the determination of need threshold; HB1008, An Act relative to parity in assessments by the Health Safety Net; HB1015, An Act ensuring community hospital acceleration, revitalization, and transformation; HB1295, An Act promoting the adoption of alternative payment methodologies; HB1786, An Act to ensure behavioral health integration; HB1887/S645, An Act ensuring access to necessary hospital services; HB1907, An Act relative to specialty licensure; HB1915, An Act to ensure patient medication adherence; and HB1920, An Act relative to mobile integrated health.
