Ground Transportation issues in Massachusetts.
We have worked with this lobbying firm on bills which resulted in Transportation Networking Companies (TNCs) legislation signed by Governor Baker in August of 2016.
We continue to work with this firm in an attempt to help modes of transportation available in the Commonwealth to provide safe transportation. We have commented on issues such as insurance requirements, vehicle identification, and driver background checks, as a partial list.
Currently, we are emphasizing the importance of drug testing and enhanced background checks which include fingerprinting at the front-end of background checks.
Thank you. - Rick Szilagyi, Executive Director
