The work of this contract generally consists of the construction of a 1.8 MGD WTP for the existing Cyr Street and Norman Avenue wells. The WTP will utilize GreenSandPlus filtration, aeration, and chemical feed systems. Building components including masonry, HVAC, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, miscellaneous iron, waterproofing, painting, and electrical services shall be incorporated in the WTP. Additionally, 1,500 linear feet of water main will be installed on Norman Avenue and tied into the intersection of Matfield Street and East Street. |

Only bidders that have been prequalified may submit bids for this project. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required. Minimum wage rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Labor and Industries under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. |
