Bids from General Contractors - Temporary Playground.
The project includes an 11,800 SF (+-) fence-enclosed area containing a 4,500 SF (+-) playground, which is to be constructed as a temporary play space while the permanent new school project and site improvements are constructed on the same site. This contract duration will coincide with the site-enabling work of the new school project. The successful bidder of this project will be expected to coordinate with, and work in harmony with the General Contractor of the new school project and its personnel. There is no contractual connection between the two projects otherwise. The successful bidder will be coordinated by equipment supplier M.E. O’Brien & Sons, Medway, MA. |

This Construction Project is solicited under M.G.L. c. 30, § 39M as a Turnkey Design/Build project. The Contractor shall provide all detailed design, material specifications, labor, materials, means and methods, and equipment for constructing a temporary playground at Hatherly Elementary School. The design must support the concepts expressed in these bid documents.
Bidders must be Licensed General Contractors in Massachusetts, with a minimum of five (5) years of documented experience installing playground equipment and surfaces, and at least five successfully completed projects with references rated “very good” or “excellent.” OSHA training per MA licensing guidelines is also required.
The Owner’s Project Manager is The Vertex Companies, LLC, and the Project Designer is Dore + Whittier.
