The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife (MassWildlife) is soliciting bids to convert approximately 30 acres of cool season pastures and recently cleared tree plantations to native warm season grasslands at William Forward WMA (Kents Island) for improved wildlife habitat. All work will be completed between May 1 and June 30, 2025. The Contractor will treat cool season grasses and cleared plantation areas with broadcast herbicide, mow and harrow fields to provide seed bed, and then either roll or cultipack fields to improve seed to soil contact. Contractors will purchase and plant specified native seed mix and roll or cultipack the fields a second time. |
