The base bid includes the replacement of 16 Fire hydrants in the Town of Ayer Water Distribution System at various locations throughout Town. The replacements may require cutting in of water main tees, new valves, replacement of hydrants with new hydrants and site restoration. The bid alternate includes the abandonment of the 6” Cast Iron Water Main on West Main St. The abandonment may require transferring of water services, a hydrant, and an interconnection with another street from the 6” Cast Iron Water Main to the 12” AC Water Main. |
