Kelly is our Associate Director, and will lead the Coalition's budget and bill campaigns on homelessness, housing, and safety net programs.
Known areas of focus include:
- Working to pass legislation to improve benefits provided to participants in the Emergency Aid to the Elderly, Disabled, and Children Program
- Working to pass legislation to create a bill of rights for people experiencing homelessness
- Working to pass legislation to ensure that families experiencing housing instability and homelessness do not have to stay in places not meant for human habitation
- FY'18 and FY'19 legislative and administrative advocacy in support of family-focused improvements to the Emergency Assistance program, DHCD line item 7004-0101, and HomeBASE, DHCD line item 7004-0108
-FY'19 budget advocacy in support of various housing, homelessness, and benefits related line items, including 4000-0007, 4408-1000, 4403-2000, 7004-0102, 7004-9005, 7004-9024, 7004-9316, and 7035-0005
