Peter M. Macy, the Executive Director, is assisting Guardian Community Trust with two pieces of proposed legislation:
(1) H3027/S1177, which would establish an Office of Public Guardian; and
(2) H2807/S629, which would amend Section 28 of G.L. 118E, to define transfers to qualifying pooled trusts as fair-market value transactions that are not subject to penalty, regardless of the transferror's age.
Meetings will be held with sponsors of both bills, as well as members of the relevant committees. In addition, with respect to H2807/S629, Mr. Macy will participate in meetings as needed with state regulators in EOHHS.
