- roller skating;
- inclusion of mobile amusement industry in the overtime exclusion provision of the law that now only addresses fixed parks; and
- budget proposals that may affect the Client before the Massachusetts General Court;
(b) Identify, monitor and strategize on new and modified legislation related to amusement park industry regulation and labor, workforce,
wage and hour issues; develop new proposed legislation on occasion; coordinate new ideas that would help industry and certain of its
members navigate current and future legislation; provide interpretations of legislation on occasion;
(c) Undertake efforts regarding legislation that may affect the Client; including appearances before the legislature and its committees, or
other governmental bodies, drafting, and distributing petitions and educational packets, establishing constructive dialogue with legislators
and their leaders, establishing constructive dialogue with Executive Branch officials and their leaders, develop and implement a more
formal grass roots strategy with outreach to state and local officials and presenting evidence to appropriate legislative or regulatory
committees or agencies;
(d) Report timely on governmental affairs activity and provide copies of briefs, amendments, roll call votes, and other documents
distributed in connection with legislative activities;
(e) Inform the Client of changes in Federal, State, and Local lobbying laws with potential impact upon Client lobbying activities, including
laws and regulations relating to gifts and political contributions;
(f) Remain available to meet at reasonable times with Client representatives, attend quarterly meetings, and participate in conference
calls;
(g) Perform in a professional manner and not use improper methods when urging consideration of any matter; and,
(h) Comply fully with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations when performing its obligations under this Agreement,
including laws governing gifts and contributions.
