We are seeking to engage on any legislation relating to the regulation of kratom. We are supportive of regulating kratom products and are seeking to work with legislative stakeholders to shape any regulatory package relating to kratom. Specific regulations we are seeking to implement include product labeling requirements, manufacturing requirements, a prohibition on selling kratom to any person under the age of 21, a prohibition on synthetic products, a prohibition on adulterated products, and a prohibition on marketing kratom products to children, and the enactment of penalties for violating these regulations. Additionally, we will also be seeking to enact legislation to establish a kratom working group that will study the feasibility of regulating kratom in the State of Massachusetts.
