01/01/2019 The areas of interest on which we have retained this lobbyist to provide services are any and all matters related to nuclear decommissioning in Massachusetts. This would include topics such as funding, spent fuel management, emergency planning, site restoration standards, and radiation monitoring, among others. At present there are no bills pending but anticipate there may be some in the coming 2019 - 2020 legislative session. The legislators we expect to engage with include, but are not limited to: Senators deMacedo and Cyr and Representatives Muratore, Hunt, Crocker, LaNatra and Kearney. We also anticipate meeting with members of Governor Baker's administration including the Executive office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, the Dept. of Public Health, The Dept. of Environmental Affairs, and the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency among others. We will also be active with the Pilgrim Nuclear Decommissioning Citizen's Advisory Panel and likely will meet with representatives from the Attorney General's office.
