Executive Mass Bay Transportation Authority - Discussions were held between THE RIDE Agency Representatives to voice our concern that we have 80 residents who are signed up for THE RIDE and that we proposed that it would be more convenient for our residents (who are all in wheelchairs) and more cost effective for the renewal process and testing to be conducted here on site at The Boston Home (where there is ample space for interviews and testing to be conducted) vs. all of these individuals having to go to the Charlestown Eligibility Testing Center. This would lessen the cost for THE RIDE if renewals were held at The Boston Home premises and save the cost of multiple wheelchair vans having to transport large numbers of individuals who all reside at The Boston Home which is located at 2049 Dorchester Avenue, Boston, MA. We were asking about the possibility that THE RIDE consider having their staff visit us on site and conduct these renewals while at the same time saving the costs for shuttling our residents back and forth from the Charlestown Center.
