The Brook Farm Historic site is currently listed as a National Historic Landmark and owned by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. It was made famous by the short-lived Utopian society that was created here in the 1840s, but this place has many stories to tell. Each one has used the land differently and left a visible impact on the property’s physical character and its place history. Located in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, it is about 8 miles from downtown Boston and encompasses 179 acres.
How did each community use this land, and what did they leave behind for archaeologists to find?
