Recorded Land Plans:
The Hampshire Registry of Deeds has completed its back indexing project for Recorded Land plans. All Recorded Land plan images and indices dating from 1800 to present are available at the Hampshire Registry of Deeds and online. Use the 'Search our Records Online' link and then under Search Criteria, select one of the various search choices under Plans. Some of the old plan books had multiple plans on one page. To view multiple plans with the same page number, select one of the images and use the ‘next page’ arrow to view the additional plan on that page.
Registered Land Plans:
All Registered Land plans are scanned and available on the new masslandrecords.com website by following the method detailed above under Recorded Land Plans and selecting Registered Land Plans under Search Criteria.
Assessor Maps:
To access Hampshire assessor indices and maps, the following procedures should be followed: Use the 'Search our Records Online' link and under Search Criteria, Plans, select Book (Year) Search. To find an index, insert the ‘Index’ code listed in the chart below in the Book field and click on search or press enter. Then click on the entry line that appears and click on the View Images tab that appears on the right side of the screen. All of the town index pages will appear. Some towns are alphabetical by Owner name, some by Street and some by Map/Parcel so you must scroll through to find your entry.
To find an actual map, insert the ‘Map’ code listed below in the Book field, click on search or press enter. This will return all entries. If you have the map number, which you can obtain from the ‘Index’ information, click on the corresponding Bk/Pg(Yr/Pl) row and then click on the View Images tab. It’s a two-step process to find an index and then the actual map.
