Corporate Certificates

The Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth issues all certificates concerning corporations and Limited Liability Companies (LLC). These certificates can be delivered to certain Registries of Deeds for pickup. You may order these certificates in person or online by following these steps:


Order at the Register’s Office

If you order at the Register’s Office, you can pick up the original the next day.
This service is available at the following Registries of Deeds:

  • Barnstable
  • Berkshire
  • Middle Berkshire
  • South Dukes
  • Essex North
  • Essex South
  • Hampden
  • Hampshire
  • Middlesex
  • North Middlesex
  • South Nantucket
  • Worcester

Order Online (Credit card required for payment)

To order online:

  1. Go to the Corporate Database Search Page
  2. Enter the name of the corporation
  3. Select the correct entry from the resulting names
  4. Copy that corporation's ID number
  5. Click "Request a Certificate" and complete that form
  6. In "Special Instructions" type SEND TO [REGISTRY NAME]
