Castle Island: A Storied History
Castle Island is the oldest continuously fortified site in British North America. Dominated by the forts sited there to take full advantage of its strategic location, Castle Island has been an integral part of the Boston landscape since colonial times to the present day. This exhibit tells the colorful stories of the people and events that make this unique location such an important part of our local history.
