The Doric Docents

Objective

Doric Docents logoDoric Docents, Inc., a non-political and non-profit organization, was inaugurated by Mrs. Francis W. Sargent with the cooperation of the Archives Division and the Secretary of The Commonwealth to research our historic Bulfinch State House and to acquaint residents of the Commonwealth and out-of-state visitors with its architectural beauty, its history and the legislative process.
 

Volunteer Tour Guides

Under the aegis of the Secretary of The Commonwealth, The Hon. William F. Galvin, Doric Docents, Inc., enlists, trains and schedules volunteer guides for State House tours weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., September through June.

The Massachusetts State House - A Guide

The Doric Docents, volunteer tour guides at the Massachusetts State House, are pleased to announce the arrival of the guide book: The Massachusetts State House. It has been reprinted with updated information on one of the most beautiful landmarks in Boston. It is available for $5.00 per copy from the Doric Docents, Inc. You can purchase them at the Tours Desk in Doric Hall or call (617) 727-3676 for more information.
