Social Security is a federal program providing monthly payments to eligible workers and their families when that worker retires, dies, or is disabled. Citizens are asked to call the Teleservice for regional office referral. The Social Security Administration also administers the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program. O7 Medicare

Medicare is a federal medical insurance program for people 65 years of age and over, and for certain disabled people under 65. Medicare has two coverages, hospital insurance and medical insurance. For information on eligibility, contact a local Social Security office or call toll free at 1-800-772-1213.
