This office controls the use and application of pesticides and also investigates alleged misuse of pesticides. It licenses exterminators and those who use pesticides on the land of another.

The board, which has the statutory responsibility to oversee mosquito control activities in the Commonwealth, administers funds and provides technical assistance to the nine regional mosquito control projects. It also gives technical assistance to communities that have or wish to establish mosquito control programs.
