Under MGL Ch. 272:92A, 98, and 98A the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination prohibits discrimination in public accommodation based on race, color, religious creed, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, blindness, deafness, or disability. The commission prohibits discrimination in credit based on the above reasons as well as on marital status, age, and public assistance as delineated in MGL Ch. 151B:4 (14 and 15). The Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination enforces laws which in addition to public accommodation and credit prohibit discrimination in the areas of education, employment, and housing.
