Before you visit…

Hours and mask policy:
We are open with our regular research hours, 8:30-4:30 Monday-Friday. Consistent with the mask policy of the City of Boston, as of March 5, 2022, masks will no longer be required.

Before you visit, please note:
Our Reference Staff is working hard to make sure that you get access to the information that you need. Before you visit, you should call or email us with what you're looking for, and we will assist you in determining if you can access materials remotely. For example, many of our records have already been digitized and are available online. Check out our Digital Records page for online access to vital records, historical and legislative collections, and other genealogical resources.
