A full service branch for passenger car license and registrations services, this center for truckers is a combined office of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Highway Division and the Registry of Motor Vehicles. Fees are collected by the RMV not only for the commercial motor vehicle drivers' license, but also for the weights and measures inspection done by the Highway Division. Permits for overweight and overdimensional (oversized) loads to allow travel on state highways are issued by this office. Permits for both irreducible and reducible loads are also issued from this office. Additionally, commercial license written exams are conducted through this office.

A commercial driver's license (CDL) mandated by federal law as of 4/1/92 and issued by the Registry of Motor Vehicles is required of drivers of trucks and buses. Road Tests can be scheduled by calling Customer Service numbers above.
