The Highway Division is responsible for the development, construction, snow removal and maintenance of the former Massachusetts Highway Department, Massachusetts Turnpike Authority and many of the bridges and parkways under the Department of Conservation and Recreation. Additionally, they oversee the Thomas P. “Tip” O’Neill Jr., Ted Williams, Lieutenant William F. Callahan, and William H. Sumner Tunnels as well as the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill, and Maurice J. Tobin Memorial bridges.
