The Information Technology Division is responsible for providing information technology services to executive branch agencies. ITD supports a personal computer-wide area network that links most secretariats and departments called mass.gov as well as directing the public at large to information and referral on state government. It also supports the major statewide administrative systems: personnel (Personnel Management Information System-PMIS, Commonwealth's Automated Payroll System-CAPS), payroll (PMIS), personnel reporting (Personnel Administrative Reporting and Information System-PARIS), and accounting (Massachusetts Management Accounting and Reporting System-MMARS). ITD oversees the central mail facility located within One Ashburton Place.
