The Tours Division provides free, guided tours of the State House for individuals and groups. It offers two types of tours: one focuses on architectural, artistic, and historical features of the State House; the other provides an in-depth view of state government and the legislative process. The legislative tour is available by reservation only. Tours are given between 10:00am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Large groups should reserve three weeks in advance.

The museum features exhibits about the people, places, and politics of Massachusetts. Call for a listing of educational materials, traveling exhibits, and special programs. The museum, which is in the Massachusetts Archives Building, offers free admission and is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm, closed on major holidays.
