Documents Now Available On Line
Register of Deeds, Atty. Robert F. Kelley announced today the completion of a document-scanning project that has placed all area recorded land documents on their web site.
In making this announcement Register Kelley stated, "I am pleased we are able to offer this document access to not only the property owners in the area but also to the many real estate professionals who utilize our services and information on a daily basis."
Register Kelley also commended the employees at the Registry of Deeds noting "they all put in an exceptional amount of dedication and effort to make the records available to the public."
The first real estate document recorded at the Lawrence Registry of Deeds was a deed in the City of Lawrence for $600.00, recorded on October 1, 1869. Prior to this date all area real estate transactions were recorded in Salem, MA.
Real estate records at the Lawrence Registry of Deeds are available for the communities of Andover, Lawrence, Methuen and North Andover on their web site, www.LawrenceDeeds.com.
