Suffragists sculpture in the National RotundaThe year 2020 will mark the one hundredth anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution — guaranteeing the right of women to vote. The Commonwealth Museum is pleased to partner with the Women’s Suffrage Celebration Coalition of Massachusetts to commemorate events leading to this historic milestone. 

As a first step the Commonwealth Museum will feature a “Suffragist of the Month” in a lobby display and here on the website.
