From 1999 through 2007 the Commonwealth Museum hosted an exhibit on the archaeology of Boston's Big Dig.

The exhibit closed in May 2007, however, this virtual tour through the former exhibit remains on-line. This website was created by an intern from Northeastern University.

A new on-line exhibit on the archaeology of Boston's Big Dig will be available on the MHC's website in the future.

Free copies of Highway to the Past, a booklet describing the archaeological project, are available by contacting the Massachusetts Historical Commission.
