Three Cranes Tavern



18th-century Creamware Teapot

Three Cranes Tavern was a popular socializing spot in the years prior to the American Revolutionary War. It operated until 1775 when it was destroyed by fire during the battle of Bunker Hill. Artifacts recovered include smoking pipes, glassware, and musket balls. The location of the tavern is now visible in City Square Park.
