Qualifying patients may register with the Medical Use of Marijuana Program to access marijuana for medical use at RMDs in Massachusetts. Before registering as a patient with the Medical Use of Marijuana Program, you must: Get a certification. You need to be certified by a qualified health care provider. Schedule an appointment with your health care provider and ask about the Medical Use of Marijuana Program. Once certified, your health care provider will give you a PIN number to register with the Program.

The mission of the Cannabis Control Commission is to honor the will of the voters of Massachusetts by safely, equitably and effectively implementing and administering the laws enabling access to medical and adult use marijuana in the Commonwealth. The Cannabis Advisory Board, established by Chapter 55 of the Acts of 2017 has twenty-five members: five appointees each from the Governor, Treasurer and Attorney General and ten ex officio members with expertise and knowledge relevant to the Board’s mission. They are charged with studying and making recommendations to the Cannabis Control Commission on the regulation and taxation of marijuana in Massachusetts.
